These media converters are designed to bridge a 10/100BASE-T signal to a 100BASE-FX signal. Use them to extend the connection distance between two Fast Ethernet twisted-pair devices via fibre cable transparently with no performance degradation.
This converter series is based on a switching hub design. It supports auto negotiation and flow control functions on the twisted-pair port. Different types of fibre connectors are available: SC and ST for multimode or SC for single-mode cables.

You can use the XS Media Converters "right out of the box" as a standalone device, or you can order a wall or DIN rail mounting kit (sold separately) or even a 16-slot rack chassis. For additional reliability and stability, add a redundant power supply for the 16-slot rack chassis.
